The Design Class is a work program from Sector V, namely the Creative Media and Socialization of Public Administration Student Association. In general, the design class is an event whose concept is almost similar to seminars or webinars. In this event, we invite speakers who have the editing skills to be introduced and taught to the participants. It may concern on designing using certain software. In this design class, we chose the software that is familiar and accessible to many participants, such as Photoshop. Usually, the design class activity is held 2 times in 1 period of management.

There are several things that make the difference between seminars or webinars in general and the design class. It is the implementation where the participants will directly practice what the speaker explains at the end of the session, after introducing the tools in the application. Participants are required to bring their respective laptop in order to get the same software as the speaker. This also applies to the online design class as it is today. At the end of the event,, the participants will submit their designs and there will be interesting prizes for the best designs. For the beginners who want to learn and don’t have the software should not be worry, since the committee will provide the software installation on the participants’ laptop. Meanwhile, the benefit they get through this design class is the useful knowledge of the editing skills, the chance to consult with the speakers concerning the designs, certificates, and new friends. Especially, in the current pandemic, where the media has became the tool that is supposed to be used wisely. Various kinds of activities ranging from promotion to implementation are all carried out through the media. Promotions that aims to attract the participants to join the events should be made as attractive as possible. To make it attractive, a good editing skill is needed. Through the design class, we hope that students become capable and have the editing skill which will certainly be very useful in the future.
