Description of Safari Kurma

Safari Kurma is an activity carried out by students of the Public Administration Program at Diponegoro University to contribute directly to implementing the Tri Dharma College function, namely “Community Service, through this social service activity, it is expected to increase awareness for fellow human beings. And this activity can strengthen the ties of brotherhood between fellow human beings.

Forms of activity

The entire series of 2022 Safari Kurma activities are carried out offline which will be carried out for 2 days. The first day of the Safari Kurma activity was held on Saturday, April 09, 2022. The next day was held on Sunday, April 10, 2022. The form of this activity was a social service by breaking the fast together and providing joy for the orphanage children through representatives of the HMPS management. Diponegoro University Public Administration. Some of the activities carried out are recitations of the Qur’an, providing games that carry the concept of “Family 100” and “Message Chain” which aims to add joy, foster the ability to work together, and a sense of kinship between the residents of the At-Taqwa orphanage. This game activity was carried out with At-Taqwa orphanage children who were accompanied by the Safari Kurma committee as a form of approach with the orphanage children. Then the activity continued with breaking the fast together and praying maghrib together.

Activity Participants

In this Safari Kurma activity, 110 people were targeted, namely residents of the At-Taqwa Social Foundation & Orphanage, including orphanage children and several orphanage administrators. The organizing committee for the Date Palm Safari that participated in the celebration were representatives of the HMPS management from students of the Diponegoro University Public Administration study program.

Activity Essence

The essence of the Safari Kurma is to create 2022 Public Administration students who care about the community and help each other in the month of Ramadan in particular. Another thing that can be obtained from this activity is to share happiness with the orphanage children by doing several series of activities, such as playing games together.
