July 12, 2024, the KKN (Community Service Program) team from Diponegoro University (UNDIP) met with members of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group in Puhgogor Village, specifically with members of Working Group 2, which oversees library-related matters. This meeting sparked many discussions, including the PKK‘s need for an official decision letter (Surat Keputusan or SK) to organize a reading corner event. Due to the limited understanding of SK preparation among PKK members, one of the KKN students decided to provide assistance and education in the process.
During the program, the student explained the steps for drafting an SK, including the correct format, essential elements, and the required administrative procedures. This educational effort was designed to give PKK members a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively prepare an SK in compliance with administrative regulations.
On July 18, 2024, the drafted SK was submitted to the village secretary (Pak Carik) for further administrative processing, including assigning an official document number. This process ensured that the SK could be officially processed by the relevant authorities. Once the document number was assigned, the SK was printed and signed by the village head (Pak Lurah) as a mark of its legitimacy.
The process concluded on August 5, 2024, when the SK was officially printed and signed. A copy of the SK was then handed over to the PKK as the official document needed to organize their reading corner event.
This program not only facilitated the PKK’s administrative process but also provided valuable education on drafting official documents. With this newfound knowledge, it is hoped that the PKK in Puhgogor Village will become more self-reliant in preparing official documents in the future, streamlining event administration and improving their organizational efficiency overall. The program marked an important step in supporting PKK activities and contributed positively to administrative development in the village.
