Wonogiri (1/8/2024). The village is the smallest unit of government that plays an essential role in national development. In an effort to create a more advanced village, the Community Service Program (KKN) Team II of Diponegoro University (Undip) 2024 in Sindukarto Village, Eromoko Subdistrict, Wonogiri Regency, led by Muhammad Shabhi Octaviandy, also known as Shabhi, from the Public Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, identified several issues in the village government. As a solution, Shabhi proposed a restructuring plan aimed at improving efficiency and accountability.
This innovation has the potential to enhance the quality of public services in the village. Through the restructuring of governance, it is hoped that the welfare of the community will improve. This program includes reorganizing the organizational structure, optimizing budget utilization, and increasing transparency in decision-making. The goal is to enhance the quality of public services, strengthen community participation, and ultimately create a self-sufficient and prosperous village.
The restructuring program in Sindukarto Village involved the submission of a new Organizational Structure and Work Procedures (SOTK). This new SOTK is expected to be the starting point for creating a more transparent, accountable, and effective village government in serving the community. During the restructuring process, Shabhi conducted in-depth studies of the existing village government organizational structure. He engaged all village officials, community leaders, and representatives in discussions and workshops to formulate an SOTK that meets the needs and aspirations of the community.
“This new SOTK is the result of good collaboration between Undip KKN students and all elements of the village community,” said Shabhi. “I hope that with this new SOTK, public services in the village can be improved, and community participation in village development will become more active.”
With this new SOTK, it is expected that the Sindukarto Village government will operate more effectively and efficiently. Additionally, the community will directly benefit from these changes, such as improved public services, better management of village resources, and increased awareness of the importance of community participation in village development.
The Head of Sindukarto Village, Mr. Erianto, expressed his happiness with the new SOTK. “This new SOTK marks the beginning of our village apparatus serving the community with more enthusiasm and diligence,” he said.
