Cangakan Village, Karanganyar Subdistrict, Karanganyar Regency (07/31/2024) – In an effort to realize good governance, one important aspect to focus on is transparency and efficiency in administrative services. On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Wahyu Indra Dewi Oktavia, a student in the Public Administration Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Diponegoro University (UNDIP), led an initiative as part of the 2023/2024 KKN (Community Service Program) Team II to support the optimization of administrative services in Cangakan Village. With a commitment to improving public administration services, UNDIP’s Community Service Program Team II implemented an innovation by using printed media, specifically standing banners, as an effective informational tool for the community.

One of the main challenges that residents often face when handling civil documentation is a lack of understanding regarding the procedures and requirements needed. This often results in errors or delays in the administrative process. To address this issue, UNDIP’s Community Service Program Team II provided an infographic that contains a complete guide to the flow of administrative services, covering processes from birth certificates and death certificates to marriage referrals and relocation letters. The infographic is placed in a strategic area within the Cangakan Village office to ensure it is easily accessible to residents seeking services. With an intuitive design and simple language, the infographic outlines the steps residents need to take, including which documents to prepare. Clear images and visual icons help clarify each stage of the process, making it easier for everyone in the community to understand.

This initiative is part of efforts to promote transparency and accountability in public services, which are crucial pillars of good governance. The Head of Cangakan Village, Mr. Tugiyo, S.Sos., expressed his appreciation for the contribution of UNDIP KKN Team II students. “The information banner is a great help to us in providing more efficient and transparent services. Residents better understand what they need and the process they must go through,” said Mr. Tugiyo. With clear and easily accessible information, it is hoped that the process of handling documents will be smoother and faster. Residents will not need to make repeated trips to the village office due to a lack of information or incomplete documents. Additionally, the infographic helps reduce the workload of staff who would otherwise need to repeatedly explain procedures to residents seeking administrative services in Cangakan Village.

Dewi, the Community Service Program student who initiated this administrative service optimization program, hopes that this initiative will provide sustainable benefits for Cangakan Village. It is hoped that Cangakan Village can continuously improve the quality of its public services, creating a more responsive and accountable government. This program aims to make it easier for residents to access necessary information and to realize a more transparent and efficient governance, ultimately enhancing the overall well-being of the community.
