MBKM Program Testimonials
Having the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in Gyeongsang National University was simply incredible. Meeting new people from various countries, getting to know Korean cultures, and going to beautiful places in Korea were the opportunities not to be missed. Gyeongsang National University especially Department of Public Administration is very welcoming to international students and the lecturers were excellent. Furthermore, I got taught by American and Korean lecturers and they always added more empirical examples for the theoritical discussion regarding their own countries. The more interesting part when I studied there is I could learn to use R programming language to visualize my data. It is very helpful for my thesis later. Studying abroad for one semester was one of the best experiences in my life.
Student exchange is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Besides gaining knowledge from a different campus, we also get to learn how to see things from the perspective of people whose daily lives are different from ours. I met so many new friends, learned a new language, and discovered life hacks for surviving in a foreign country, and more. In short, student exchange is definitely worth trying.
The Independent Study activity with the theme “Public To Society: Socializing Children’s Best Nutrition To Improve Their Intelligence” aims to provide support and empowerment in the form of socialization activities about the importance of maintaining children’s nutrition quality to enhance their intelligence in Kalongan Village, East Ungaran, Semarang Regency. In doing so, we as students can play a role in paying attention to the nutrition of children in Kalongan Village and reducing the potential for nutritional deficiencies in children. The benefits we gain as members of the independent study include acquiring new experiences and insights related to our group’s focus and expanding our network of connections.
As a Public Administration student, this Independent Study also provides a fresh perspective on society’s role in environmental management and tourism development. The community’s involvement in environmental management, often underestimated, will have a significant impact on the future. Furthermore, community-based tourism development is also a primary concern in the correlation between this Independent Study and the current program of study I am pursuing.
At Telkom, I, along with Team Benvil, handle four projects: SPBE, BEN, VR Lab, and Video Learning. These projects involve business development and strategic product sales. During my Business Development Internship, I learned about SPBE (Electronic-Based Government System) from a business perspective. This included creating online and offline training, studying risk management applied within the company. Additionally, I gained insights into decision-making processes applicable in the B2B sector, which will be valuable as I embark on my career journey.
