Sragen, August 13, 2024 – On July 27, 2024, the Diponegoro University (UNDIP) KKN team visited Karang Taruna Dukuh Jatirejo in Jatibatur Village. In this meeting, we discussed with Mas Geleng, the Head of Karang Taruna Jatirejo, who conveyed the main challenges faced by their organization related to digitalization. Mas Geleng explained that the lack of understanding and digital skills among members hinders the maximum utilization of social media and digital platforms. This results in less than optimal information delivery, difficulty in collecting feedback, and ineffective coordination and organization of internal activities. In response to these problems, these students decided to hold intensive training focused on empowering the digital skills of Karang Taruna members. This training is designed to provide in-depth education on the use of social media for more effective communication, techniques for collecting and analyzing feedback, and strategies to increase transparency and participation in the decision-making process. This training was held on August 14, 2024, at the House of the Head of Karang Taruna Jatirejo, at 19.00, according to the agreed time for the Karang Taruna team. During the training, this student explained in detail how to use Linktree, from creating to managing the platform. Participants were also given the opportunity to directly try out the system that this student had created, by practicing each step and feature that had been explained. Members of Karang Taruna Jatirejo were actively involved in the practical sessions that included creating informative posts, managing online interactions, and using digital tools to monitor and respond to feedback. The dynamic discussions provided an opportunity for participants to ask questions, share experiences, and get concrete solutions to the technological challenges they face. This program not only introduced new knowledge, but also changed the way Karang Taruna interacted and coordinated. This student suggested that this training be followed by ongoing support and follow-up sessions to ensure more effective application of skills. Additional guidance and resources were also provided to assist members in implementing the knowledge that had been acquired.
It is hoped that with this training, Karang Taruna Jatirejo will be better prepared to face challenges in the digital era. This program aims to improve communication efficiency, strengthen activity management, and increase transparency and internal participation. This digital transformation is expected to not only strengthen organizational capacity but also become an example for other organizations and communities in utilizing technology for mutual progress. With this step, Karang Taruna Jatirejo is expected to be able to utilize technology more effectively, improve internal coordination, and provide a significant positive impact on their activities. This program is an important step to help organizations adapt to technological developments and improve their overall performance.
