Student Internship at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Gunungkidul Regency

The Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) of Gunungkidul Regency is one of the Government Agencies that carries out all Regional Government affairs in the Population and Civil Registration Sector which consists of 4 (four) divisions, namely, the Population Registration Service Division, the Civil Registration Service Division, the Population Information and Administration Management Division, and the Data Utilisation and Service Innovation Division. The Disdukcapil of Gunungkidul Regency is led by Markus Tri Munarja, S.IP, M.Si.

The internship at the Disdukcapil of Gunungkidul Regency lasted for 3 (three) weeks starting from September 1 to September 23, 2022. In its implementation, the system applied was a rolling system. This was intended so that internship students could learn and experience all activities carried out by all divisions (except the Civil Registration Division).  This activity provides an opportunity for students to apply the knowledge and experience they have gained, especially related to public services. Furthermore, the internship program can be utilised to pursue a successful career in the future. The activities that have been carried out include:

  1. Orientation in the Internship Environment of Disdukcapil Gunungkidul Regency
    • Orientation activities included an introduction to the Disdukcapil staff, an introduction to the duties and functions, an introduction to the room and an introduction to the tasks in the secretariat.
  2. Population Registration Service
    • The Population Registration Service is one of the areas that carries out activities such as the processing of population movements, population data collection, the printing of KTPs and KIAs, and classification of KTPs and KIAs that have been printed based on sub-districts in Gunungkidul Regency (18 sub-districts).
  3. Public Service
    • In public services, the activities carried out are collecting application files, legalisation, making and printing KK, KTP, KIA, birth and death certificates, and delivering and archiving service documents.
  4. Archiving
    • In archiving, the activities carried out are verifying files, archiving population files, uploading data, and checking document data books.
  5. Morning Ceremony and Exercise
    • Every Monday morning, interns take part in a ceremony with all Disdukcapil staff and on Fridays, they participate in a fun walk and morning gymnastics.
