Pekalongan (08/05/2024) – Students from the Community Service Program (KKN) Team II UNDIP for the 2023/2024 Academic Year conducted community service activities in Simbang Kulon Village, Buaran District, Pekalongan Regency, from July 10, 2024, to August 19, 2024.
The students, coming from various study programs, consisted of nine members with a total of 18 individual work programs. One of the key programs was the digitalization of public complaint reports and the guestbook for Simbang Kulon Village through the creation of a village website.
Currently, Simbang Kulon Village does not have a dedicated website to assist village officials and the community in service processes. For instance, the guestbook is still manually written, and public complaint mechanisms are not widely accessible. The introduction of a village website is expected to enhance the quality of services and encourage public participation in the development of Simbang Kulon Village.
In this initiative, Krisna Aryasatya Nugraha, a Public Administration student from UNDIP KKN Team II, spearheaded the creation of a digitalized complaint reporting and guestbook system through a single-page website. A single-page website is designed to present all content on one page, allowing users to scroll through seamlessly without navigating multiple pages. Built using Linktree, the website is easily accessible for both village officials and the community.
The website created by Krisna Aryasatya Nugraha contains comprehensive information and services for Simbang Kulon Village, including links to social media accounts for updated information. It provides details about the village, such as its profile, location, map, and administrative structure. To boost public participation, the website also features digitalized complaint reporting and guestbook forms. Furthermore, it lists the administrative service requirements, enabling residents to prepare necessary documents in advance.
After completing the website, Krisna Aryasatya Nugraha provided training to village officials (08/05/2024). The training included an introduction to the website’s design, content, usage, and development process. An X-banner was also presented to Simbang Kulon Village Head, Mr. R. Aghatha Franky Irawan, S.E., as a visual representation and output of the digitalization program. The banner includes a service flowchart, administrative requirements, and a QR code for the website.
The banner, placed at the Simbang Kulon Village Office, allows visitors to easily access service information. One resident expressed their gratitude: “Thank you for creating this website. It helps us participate better in improving Simbang Kulon Village, as it also includes an aspiration form for us.”
The successful completion of this program aims to improve the quality of services at Simbang Kulon Village, facilitate easy access to service information, and enhance public participation in its development. Both the village head and residents expressed appreciation for the website, with the village head stating, “Thank you for creating this village website. It is excellent and helpful for understanding the services available.” The hope is that this website will inspire village officials to achieve ideal public services for the community.
