Wonogiri (19/7/2024). Public service is a key indicator in assessing the success of government tasks and performance through the bureaucracy. All actors in the elements of good governance consider public services as the main element. The village apparatus is the main actor in creating excellent and fair village services for the village community.
In the realisation of creating an active, responsive, nurturing, reliable, and sophisticated village, the Diponegoro University Real Work Lecture (KKN) Team II Year 2024 Sindukarto Village, Eromoko District, Wonogiri Regency. Muhammad Shabhi Octaviandy or familiarly known as Shabhi from the Public Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences conducted training for Sindukarto Village officials by providing training in the form of socialisation and providing a pocket book of guidance for village officials in serving the community.
‘”The purpose of this training and the distribution of the pocket guidebook is to improve the competence of village officials in providing excellent public services and to implement good village governance. This training has the main target of Sindukarto Village officials,’’ said Shabhi.
The guide book contain various training materials for village officials such as Village Leadership and Management (sub-chapters on concepts and visionary leadership, procedures, processes and techniques in decision-making for village planning); Public Services (sub-chapters on concepts and principles of excellent public services, communication and techniques for managing public complaints); Technical Skills (sub-chapters on the utilisation of e-gov technology in village public services, systems and the importance of transparent and accountable village financial management); and finally, Personal Capacity Development (sub-chapters on values that must be embraced and prevention of corruption in the village).
Sindukarto Village Head, Mr Erianto shared his story with the training. ‘Through this training, it is hoped that village officials can improve the quality of public services, implement good and transparent village governance, empower village communities, and realise advanced, independent and prosperous villages,’’ he said.
