Semarang, (22\/03). <\/strong>The month of Ramadhan always brings a warm feeling and boosts the spirit of sharing. In 2025, the Social Department of the Public Administration Students Association (HMPS)<\/em> once again presents the Safari Kurma activity, an annual program that embodies social care and the distribution of charitable deeds by providing iftar snacks (takjil)<\/em> to those in need on the first day, followed by social service and breaking the fast together with children from an orphanage on the second day.<\/p>\n

This Safari Kurma event is held with the hope of increasing the awareness of students, especially the Public Administration Student Association,<\/em> towards the community as part of their role as students. It also aims to foster a greater desire to share with others, especially during this blessed month. This activity is also expected to bring happiness and boost the motivation of orphanage children to continue learning.<\/p>\n

Carrying the theme \u201cPublic Ramadhan to Enjoy Noble Charity,\u201d Safari Kurma 2025 emphasizes the role of Public Administration students in the community during this Ramadhan. It highlights how students can become givers and distributors of happiness to those in need.<\/p>\n

Saturday, March 22, 2025, marked a sweet beginning for this year Safari Kurma journey. On the first day, we distributed iftar snacks around Banyumanik Market, Semarang City. 30 boxes of takjil were enthusiastically distributed to those in need, including the underprivileged, parking attendants, online motorcycle taxi drivers, and homeless people in the area. In less than half an hour, all the takjil had been successfully distributed. We also made sure to document the moments and heartwarming smiles. Though simple, this first day brought positive energy and enthusiasm for the days ahead.<\/p>\n

On the second day, Sunday, March 23, 2025, the atmosphere of Safari Kurma became warmer and more touching. This time, the event\u2019s destination was the At-Taqwa Orphanage located on Jl. Raya Genting, Meteseh, Tembalang District, Semarang City. Overall, the second day began with Al-Qur\u2019an recitation by orphanage children, opening speeches, ice-breaking activities that lightened the mood, a motivational video screening to entertain the children, and an engaging also meaningful presentation about history of Ramadhan and stories of prophets. The event continued with a fun games session that invited laughter and togetherness. The games consisted of two rounds: a competition to build a pyramid from paper cups and a charades-style guessing game. Prizes were also awarded to the groups that won the games as a form of appreciation.<\/p>\n

Then, the session moved into a time of reflection, where the atmosphere became calmer and more touching, giving all participants a chance to share their impressions and hopes on small pieces of paper, which were then gathered on the \u201cThree of Hopes\u201d. As the time to break the fast approached, a group prayer and a short sermon (kultum)<\/em> were led by a representative of the orphanage. Afterward, a symbolic donation handover took place, with contributions consisting of various basic necessities and a sum of money, followed by documentation and the closing of the event. The most anticipated moment finally arrived: shortly before Maghrib, everyone gathered to break the fast together. Shortly after, the Maghrib prayer was performed in congregation, marking the spiritual conclusion of the day\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n

It’s hoped that this activity will run according to its objectives and provide benefits not only internally within the Public Administration Student Association but also to the wider community. Safari Kurma is not just about giving, but also about experiencing the warmth of togetherness, strengthening gratitude, and broadening out understanding of the true meaning of Ramadhan\u2019s blessings. May the spirit of sharing continue to grow, not only during the fasting month but also in daily life.<\/p>\n
