Rembang, Friday, May 16, 2025<\/em> \u2013 A team of lecturers from the Department of Public Administration conducted a research project in Rembang Regency. The research team consists of Prof. Dr. Dra. Kismartini, M.Si.<\/strong>, Retna Hanani, S.Sos., MPP.<\/strong>, and Yoga Aldi Saputra, S.A.P., MPA.<\/strong> This research is a collaboration between lecturers and students, involving Muhammad Yanwar Darmadi Putra, S.A.P.<\/strong> from the Master of Public Administration Program, and Bunga Kaliza Ratuwizta<\/strong> from the Undergraduate Public Administration Program.<\/p>\n

The research is titled \u201cEvaluation of Tourism Policy in the Coastal Area of Rembang Regency Based on Sustainable Coastal Tourism.\u201d<\/strong> It aims to identify, analyze, and evaluate coastal tourism policies in Rembang Regency, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors for sustainable coastal tourism.<\/p>\n

The activity was warmly welcomed by Mr. Afan Martadi, A.P., M.Si.<\/strong>, Head of Bappeda (Regional Development Planning Agency) of Rembang Regency. He explained that coastal area policies in regencies\/cities are now less directly managed due to the fact that authority over coastal and marine areas has been delegated to the Provincial Government. Most of the coastal tourism destinations in Rembang are managed independently by village communities, while the Regency Government plays a facilitating and supporting role. On the other hand, many coastal tourism sites have started to grow and develop their own unique characteristics. Regulatory analysis of tourism is necessary to ensure the sustainability of Rembang\u2019s coastal areas, which can later be translated into and adjusted through respective Village Regulations.<\/p>\n

Mr. Afan Martadi also mentioned that accessibility to Rembang Regency remains one of the main challenges for tourism development in the region<\/strong>. The Regency Government hopes for stronger vertical support from both the Central Government and the Provincial Government of Central Java.<\/p>\n
