Semarang, May 23, 2025 – The Public Policy Expertise Group (KBK) of the Public Administration Department, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Diponegoro University (FISIP UNDIP), led by Prof. Dr. Kismartini, M.Si., successfully held a review article training session using Bibliometrix analysis. The workshop was aimed at undergraduate (S1), Master’s (S2), and Doctoral (S3) students of Public Administration. The session featured mentor Ali Rozikin, M.PA., Head of the Government Science Laboratory at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang.

The event took place at the Laboratory of Public Policy and Organizational Management, FISIP UNDIP, which is equipped with modern and advanced software. The primary goal of the workshop was to assist students in producing high-quality articles suitable for publication in reputable national and international journals.

Bibliometric analysis is a systematic study of scientific literature using quantitative and statistical methods. Its purpose is to identify patterns, trends, and impacts within a research field. It helps researchers understand the growth of a discipline, measure the impact of specific publications or authors, uncover collaboration networks, and identify emerging trends and future research directions.

Using Bibliometrix, a powerful set of functions is available for analyzing bibliographic data from major scientific databases such as Web of Science (WoS), Scopus, and Dimensions. This activity is part of the Public Policy Data Analysis Laboratory’s effort to enhance students’ competencies in technology-based data analysis, in line with the evolving demands of modern research.
