FISIP UNDIP Student Wins 1st Place and Best Presentation at the 2025 Semarak Keilmuan National Essay Competition

Semarang, June 20, 2025 – A FISIP UNDIP student, Fara Nur Aliya, has achieved another proud moment. She studies Public Administration at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Fara won 1st Place and Best Presentation at the 2025 Semarak Keilmuan National Essay Competition. This national event, organized by Swadaya Gunung Jati University’s Student Scientific Reasoning and Knowledge Unit, took place in Cirebon, West Java, on June 20, 2025.

Semarak Keilmuan 2025, organized by Swadaya Gunung Jati University’s Student Scientific Reasoning and Knowledge Unit, aimed to enhance students’ creativity in scientific writing. Participants were required to present solution-oriented ideas in a scientific essay, followed by a presentation before the panel of judges. Fara Nur Aliya submitted an essay titled LAUTARA (Autonomous Tracker and Resilient Authority): Robotic-Based IoT Integration as a Mitigation Strategy Against Illegal Fishing to Achieve Indonesia’s Maritime Resilience.” Her work passed the initial selection stage and outperformed dozens of papers from top universities. In the final round in Cirebon, Fara confidently presented her idea, demonstrating research skills, critical analysis, and systematic, communicative delivery.

This achievement not only brought pride to her faculty and university but also proved that students play a vital role in contributing solution-oriented ideas for Indonesia’s sustainable development. With the university’s active support in facilitating scientific activities, students are expected to continue developing their academic potential.
