Sragen (29/07/2024) – On July 29, 2024, the Community Service Program (KKN) Team II students from Universitas Diponegoro (2023/2024) successfully launched a Canva site dedicated to providing document creation services for citizen administration. This initiative aims to simplify the process of accessing document requirements for the residents of Kacangan Village. The project was spearheaded by Heni Widyasari, a KKN student from the Public Administration program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro.
Previously, the Kacangan Village Government lacked a digital platform for public services, especially for accessing the requirements to create citizen documents. As a result, the administrative procedures in Kacangan Village were cumbersome, reducing public satisfaction with existing services.
Easy and quick access to information is essential for the community, especially in today’s digital era. However, based on observations and interviews with Kacangan Village officials, it was found that both residents and officials are still not fully proficient in managing digital public services. As Mr. Suharto, the Service Head, stated on July 12, “Digital services from the village have never existed, Ma’am. We’ve never done it before, and the residents usually come directly to the village hall.”
In fact, the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) has made the digitalization of government administration one of the main focuses of thematic bureaucratic reform. Therefore, public administration students are encouraged to support the implementation of electronic-based governance systems in village governments in simple ways, such as creating a Canva site for document service information. This allows residents to access the required document details without visiting the village hall.
The activity was carried out in stages, beginning with consultations on Canva site design and updates on document requirements, village profiles, and organizational structure. Next, a tutorial on creating Canva sites was provided to the Service Head. Finally, posters containing links and QR codes to the Canva site were handed over to the Village Head and officials for distribution to Kacangan residents.
The Village Head, Mr. Ladiyo, expressed strong support and appreciation for the Canva site initiative. He hopes this project will serve as a good starting point for implementing Electronic-Based Governance Systems (SPBE) in Kacangan Village, enabling residents to easily access the necessary document information with just a “click” from their devices.
