Public Administration Students of FISIP Undip Help Enhance the Network of Pokdarwis Bukit Senja through Independent Study

SEMARANG – The Independent Study Team from the Public Administration Study Program, FISIP, Diponegoro University, has successfully held a culminating event titled “Networking in Tourism Development: Optimizing Actor Networks in the Tourism Development of Pokdarwis Bukit Senja, Tembalang Village, Semarang City”. This event, held on October 26, 2025, was attended by 20 undergraduate Public Administration students, accompanied by supervising lecturer Dr. AP. Dra. Tri Yuniningsih, M.Si.

Fauzan Maulana Hasan, the team leader from the 2023 cohort, explained that this activity focused on strengthening the networking aspect for Pokdarwis Bukit Senja. “Pokdarwis Bukit Senja actually has excellent tourism potential but still faces challenges in building partnership networks. Through this activity, we strive to help open opportunities for collaboration with the private sector and the government,” he stated.

This independent study was designed to provide strategic mentoring in network development, local potential identification, and the formulation of sustainable partnership strategies. Dr. Tri Yuniningsih, as the supervising lecturer, emphasized the importance of a public administration science approach in building effective tourism governance.

“Through this network strengthening, we hope Pokdarwis Bukit Senja can optimize its existing tourism potential and build mutually beneficial partnerships with various stakeholders,” added Dr. Tri Yuniningsih.

This activity is a realization of the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education by the Public Administration Study Program of FISIP Undip, particularly in community service, while also serving as an applicative learning medium for students to apply public administration science in the field.
