Public Administration Student of FISIP UNDIP Wins Puteri Lokantara 2026, Affirming the Role of Youth in Cultural Preservation

Semarang – A student from the Public Administration Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro (FISIP UNDIP), has achieved a proud accomplishment by winning the Puteri Lokantara 2026 title, a national pageant that promotes cultural preservation and youth leadership.

This achievement highlights the active role of FISIP UNDIP students not only in academic excellence but also in contributing to social and cultural initiatives at the national level. The Puteri Lokantara competition emphasizes participants’ knowledge of Indonesian culture, leadership capacity, public communication skills, and commitment to social advocacy.

Throughout the selection process, participants underwent several stages, including auditions, training sessions, quarantine, and the grand final. The FISIP UNDIP student demonstrated strong cultural insight, confidence in public speaking, and a clear vision in promoting local culture among younger generations.

Dean of FISIP UNDIP, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., expressed appreciation for the achievement, noting that the accomplishment reflects the faculty’s commitment to nurturing students who excel not only academically but also in character, leadership, and social awareness.

Through the Puteri Lokantara 2026 title, the student is expected to serve as a cultural ambassador who actively promotes Indonesia’s cultural heritage, particularly among youth communities. This role aligns with FISIP UNDIP’s vision of encouraging students to become socially responsible graduates who contribute meaningfully to society.
