Departemen Administrasi Publik FISIP Undip Menerima Kunjungan Curriculum Benchmarking dari UUM untuk Penguatan Reputasi Internasional

(Semarang, 17/11) The Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Diponegoro University, organized a Curriculum Benchmarking for International Reputation event on Monday, November 17, 2025. The activity welcomed 13 students from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) College of Arts and Sciences, led by Dr. Nur Khaleeda binti Mohd Kamil, as part of efforts to enhance curriculum quality toward global standards.

The Head of the Undergraduate Program in Public Administration, Retna Hanani, S.Sos., MPP, expressed appreciation for the collaboration between the two educational institutions. “Benchmarking like this enhances the exchange of academic perspectives while broadening learning horizons. Cross-country cooperation is a strategic step to strengthen the study program’s reputation at the international level,” said Retna.

The Secretary of the Undergraduate Program in Public Administration, Dr. Amni Zarkasyi Rahman, S.A.P., M.Si, also extended a warm welcome to the UUM student delegation. Amni emphasized the importance of cross-cultural academic experiences for students. “This meeting encourages the formation of comparative insights into public administration. Academic interactions like this help students understand best practices in various countries,” Amni stated.

The visit took place in a friendly and engaging atmosphere. The UUM student delegation enthusiastically explored the Community Service Center (PKM) room, classrooms, learning laboratories, and engaged in discussions with Undip students about their academic experiences, organizational activities, and future aspirations as young aspiring bureaucrats. Smiles, light laughter, and mutual greetings created a humanistic moment, demonstrating that academic collaboration is not only about curriculum documents but also about interpersonal encounters that bring empathy and curiosity.

The delegation leader, Dr. Nur Khaleeda binti Mohd Kamil, shared positive impressions of the learning atmosphere at the Department of Public Administration, FISIP Undip. “This campus has a highly inclusive academic energy. Our students felt warmly welcomed and gained meaningful experiences. This knowledge exchange opens opportunities for broader collaboration in the future,” said Dr. Nur.

The event concluded with the exchange of souvenirs and a group photo session as a symbol of commitment to long-term collaboration. This shared moment reinforced that efforts toward curriculum internationalization operate not only at the institutional level but also touch upon the personal experiences of students, which will become an important part of their future career journeys. Also in attendance were the Head of the Master of Public Administration Study Program, Dr. A. Rina Herawati, M.Si, along with all lecturers of the Department of Public Administration, such as Prof. Dr. Kismartini, M.SiProf. Dr. Hartuti Purnaweni, MPAIrfan Murtadho Yusuf, S.A.P., MPM, and Renata Jati Nirmala, S.IAN., MPA.
