FISIP Undip Establishes Strategic Collaboration with BRIN to Strengthen Research and Academic Cooperation

Jakarta, October 31, 2025 — The Bachelor of Public Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), has established a strategic collaboration with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) to strengthen the research ecosystem, academic publications, and inter-institutional academic networks.

During the meeting held in Jakarta, Retna Hanani, S.Sos., M.Si., Head of the Bachelor of Public Administration Program at FISIP Undip, emphasized that this collaboration aims to expand Undip’s partnership reach beyond inter-university cooperation to include national research institutions.

“We aim to develop networks not only across universities but also with research institutions like BRIN. Through this collaboration, we hope to build a think tank focusing on public administration issues,” said Retna.

This partnership paves the way for joint research and publications to advance the field of public administration, including collaboration within research clusters under FISIP Undip. Furthermore, she also offered opportunities for cooperation in World Class University (WCU) programs, such as domestic post-doctoral programs, online and offline visiting professor schemes, as well as adjunct professorships.

The collaboration also envisions the joint preparation of policy papers under BRIN’s supervision, ensuring that research outcomes provide tangible contributions to public policy development.

“We welcome the opportunity to co-develop policy papers that can serve as references for government policymaking. Undip also offers postgraduate study opportunities (Master’s and Doctoral programs) at FISIP through both by-research and by-course mechanisms, supported by comprehensive physical and non-physical research facilities,” Retna added.

The collaboration between FISIP Undip and BRIN marks a concrete step toward fostering synergy between higher education institutions and research agencies, reinforcing Indonesia’s academic contribution at both the national and global levels.
